WelcomeTV is built around three core components: Slides, Slideshows and Players.
Understanding how these three parts work together makes the entire platform much easier to use.
Slides #
Individual content items #
Slides are individual pieces of content, usually an image or a video.
Each slide represents one screen or one piece of information shown on the TV.
Examples of slides:
- Restaurant menu
- Spa promotion
- Airport transfer information
- Excursion advertisement
- WiFi information
- Welcome message
- Promotional video
Slideshows #
Playlists built from slides #
Slideshows are playlists that contain multiple slides.
They determine:
- Which slides are shown
- The playback order
- How long each slide stays visible
- Whether background music is used
A slideshow can be created for different locations inside your property.
Examples:
- Guest room slideshow
- Reception slideshow
- Restaurant slideshow
- Spa slideshow
Players #
The physical device connected to the TV #
Players are the physical WelcomeTV devices connected to TVs through HDMI.
Each player automatically loads the assigned slideshow and displays the content on screen.
Players are designed for reliable hospitality playback and can continue displaying cached content during temporary internet interruptions.
How everything works together #
The workflow inside WelcomeTV is intentionally simple.
- Upload slides such as images or videos.
- Build a slideshow from those slides.
- Assign the slideshow to one or more players.
- The players display the content automatically on connected TVs.
You can use one slideshow for guest rooms, another for reception and another one for restaurant TVs.
Multiple players can also use the same slideshow if needed.
