WelcomeTV is designed around a simple workflow.
You create content, organize it into slideshows, assign it to players and the TVs handle the rest automatically.
Step 1 — Create Slides #
The first step is creating slides.
Slides are individual images or videos that will appear on screen.
Examples of slides:
- Restaurant promotions
- Spa advertisements
- Welcome messages
- WiFi information
- Excursion videos
Most users create content in Canva or another design tool and upload the exported image or video into WelcomeTV.
Step 2 — Build a Slideshow #
After creating slides, you can organize them into a slideshow.
A slideshow is a playlist that determines:
- Which slides are shown
- The playback order
- How long each slide stays visible
- Whether background music is used
Different areas of your property can use different slideshows.
Step 3 — Assign the Slideshow #
Once the slideshow is ready, it can be assigned to one or more WelcomeTV Players.
This is done from the Players section of the dashboard.
Examples:
- Guest room slideshow
- Reception slideshow
- Restaurant slideshow
- Lobby display slideshow
Step 4 — Playback #
After assignment, the players automatically load and display the slideshow on connected TVs.
Content updates are synchronized automatically over time whenever players are connected to the internet.
WelcomeTV Players also cache content locally.
This means playback can often continue during temporary internet outages or WiFi interruptions.
Players may not update instantly after changes are saved.
Depending on connectivity and caching, synchronization can take several minutes.
