The Players page displays all WelcomeTV Players connected to your account and allows you to manage playback assignments and player-related settings.
This page acts as the central overview for monitoring TV devices across your property.
Information Shown on the Players Page #
Player Name #
The identifiable name of the physical WelcomeTV Player.
Online / Offline Status #
Indicates whether the player is currently connected and communicating with the platform.
Last Seen Timestamp #
Shows the last time the player successfully communicated with the system.
Assigned Slideshow #
Displays which slideshow is currently assigned to the player.
Welcome Screen Configuration #
Shows whether temporary welcome content is configured for the player.
What You Can Do from the Players Page #
- Assign slideshows to players
- Configure welcome screens
- View player status
- Monitor connectivity
This allows centralized management of multiple TVs and locations from a single dashboard.
Monitoring Player Connectivity #
The Players page helps identify devices that may:
- Be offline
- Have unstable internet connectivity
- Require troubleshooting
- Need slideshow reassignment
Offline players may still continue displaying cached content temporarily even when they appear disconnected in the dashboard.
Managing Multiple TVs #
The Players page becomes especially useful for larger properties with multiple screens.
Examples:
- Guest room TVs
- Reception displays
- Restaurant screens
- Lobby signage
- Spa displays
Different players can use different slideshows depending on location and purpose.
Giving players clear names like “Reception TV” or “Villa 12” is dramatically more useful than trying to remember what “Player-7B-final-final” was supposed to be six months later.
