In some situations, a slideshow cannot be deleted immediately because it is still connected to active system usage.
This behavior helps prevent accidental removal of content that is still being displayed on TVs.
Why a Slideshow May Not Be Deletable #
A slideshow may not be removable when:
- It is currently assigned to a player
- It is actively in use on TVs
- The system detects existing dependencies
This helps avoid situations where players suddenly lose their assigned content unexpectedly.
How to Delete the Slideshow #
- Open the Players section
- Remove all player assignments using the slideshow
- Save the player changes
- Return to the Slideshows page
- Try deleting the slideshow again
Recommended Before Deleting #
Before removing a slideshow, always verify:
- The slideshow is no longer needed
- No active TVs still depend on it
- A replacement slideshow has been assigned if necessary
- Important content has been backed up or duplicated if required
Tip:
If a slideshow refuses to die, it is usually because some player somewhere is still emotionally attached to it.
Or more technically: still assigned to it.

What Happens After Deletion #
Once successfully deleted:
- The slideshow disappears from the dashboard
- Players will stop using the deleted playlist
- Updated assignments synchronize automatically over time
Offline players may temporarily continue using cached content until connectivity returns.
