Deleting a Slide

Slides can be permanently removed from the WelcomeTV dashboard when they are no longer needed.

Deleting unused slides helps keep your content library organized and easier to manage over time.

Deleting a Slide #

To delete a slide:

  1. Open All Slides
  2. Select the slide you want to remove
  3. Click the delete option
  4. Confirm the deletion

Once deleted, the slide is permanently removed from the system.

Important Things to Check First #

Deleting a slide may affect slideshows currently using that slide.

Before deleting:

  • Verify the slide is no longer needed
  • Check whether it is used inside active slideshows
  • Preview affected slideshows if necessary
  • Confirm the content is no longer required on TVs

What Happens After Deletion? #

If a slideshow was using the deleted slide:

  • The slideshow structure may change
  • Playback order may shift
  • The missing slide will no longer appear on TVs

Players will eventually synchronize the updated slideshow automatically.

Best Practices #

  • Delete outdated promotions regularly
  • Remove duplicate or test slides
  • Keep slide libraries organized
  • Use clear slide titles for easier management
Tip:
If you are unsure whether a slide is still needed, it is usually safer to keep it temporarily rather than discovering later that your restaurant menu vanished from 40 TVs during dinner service.
