Slides are the individual pieces of content displayed on your TVs.
Every image or video shown through WelcomeTV starts as a slide.
What is a Slide? #
A slide is usually a single image or video containing information, promotions or visual content for guests.
Common examples include:
- Hotel promotions
- Restaurant menus
- Spa advertisements
- Excursion promotions
- Welcome messages
- Informational videos
Multiple slides are later combined into a slideshow.
How to Create a Slide #
- Open All Slides
- Click Add Slide
- Enter a title
- Upload your image or video
- Preview the content
- Save the slide
After saving, the slide becomes available for use inside slideshows.
Media-Based Workflow #
The current WelcomeTV platform uses a media-based slide system.
This means slides are created by uploading finished images or videos instead of designing layouts directly inside the dashboard with a drag-and-drop editor.
Most customers design their content in tools such as Canva, export the final result, and upload it into WelcomeTV.
Design in Canva → Export image or video → Upload to WelcomeTV → Add to slideshow → Publish to players.
Why this approach is used #
Using pre-rendered images and videos helps improve playback reliability on TVs and keeps the dashboard simpler for daily hospitality use.
Instead of building complex layouts directly on the player, WelcomeTV focuses on stable playback, easier management and predictable visual results.
