WelcomeTV is a digital signage platform built specifically for hospitality businesses such as hotels, villas, resorts, hostels and guesthouses.
It allows your team to manage TV content from an online dashboard and display that content automatically on screens throughout your property.
In simple terms #
WelcomeTV turns a regular TV into a managed information and promotion screen.
Instead of printing flyers, updating paper menus or explaining the same information repeatedly at reception, your property can show useful guest information directly on the TV.
What can WelcomeTV show? #
WelcomeTV can be used to display a wide range of guest-facing content. This can include practical information, promotional offers and personalized welcome messages.
- Hotel and property information
- Restaurant menus and food promotions
- Spa offers and wellness packages
- Transport, tours and excursions
- WiFi information and house rules
- Videos, images and visual announcements
- Personalized welcome messages for guests
The three main parts of WelcomeTV #
The platform is built around three simple building blocks: Slides, Slideshows and Players.
Once you understand these three parts, the rest of the dashboard becomes much easier to use.
1. Slides #
Slides are individual pieces of content, usually an image or video.
For example, one slide could be a restaurant menu, a spa promotion or a welcome message.
2. Slideshows #
Slideshows are playlists made from multiple slides.
You decide which slides are shown, in what order and for how long each slide appears.
3. Players #
Players are the physical WelcomeTV devices connected to your TVs.
Each player loads the assigned slideshow and displays it automatically on screen.
How the workflow works #
The basic workflow is simple. You create the content first, organize it into a slideshow, and then assign that slideshow to one or more players.
- Create slides by uploading images or videos.
- Add slides to a slideshow and arrange the playback order.
- Assign the slideshow to players from the Players section.
- The players display the content automatically on the connected TVs.
You can create one slideshow for guest rooms, another slideshow for reception and another one for the restaurant area.
Each player can be assigned the slideshow that matches its location.
Media-based slides, not a full visual editor #
The current WelcomeTV platform uses a media-based slide system.
This means slides are created by uploading finished images or videos, instead of designing every slide directly inside the dashboard with a drag-and-drop editor.
In practice, most users design their content in tools like Canva, export it as an image or video, and then upload it to WelcomeTV as a slide.
This keeps playback more reliable on TVs and makes the system easier for staff to manage.
WelcomeTV is not meant to replace Canva or professional design software.
It is designed to manage, organize and display finished TV-ready content reliably.
Why this matters for hospitality #
Hotels and villas often have valuable information that guests either miss or have to ask about repeatedly.
WelcomeTV helps make that information visible in a professional way.
This can improve the guest experience while also creating opportunities to promote paid services such as restaurant offers, spa treatments, transport, tours and activities.
Good to know #
WelcomeTV is designed to be simple for daily use. Staff do not need technical knowledge to update content.
If they can upload an image, choose a slideshow and save changes, they can manage the basic workflow.
