Each WelcomeTV Player can be assigned a slideshow that determines what content is displayed on the connected TV.
Different players can use different slideshows depending on location, room type or intended guest experience.
How to Assign a Slideshow #
- Open the Players page
- Select the player you want to configure
- Choose a slideshow from the available list
- Save the changes
After saving, the player will eventually synchronize the updated slideshow automatically.
What Happens After Saving? #
Once a slideshow is assigned:
- The player refreshes automatically over time
- Updated content is retrieved during synchronization
- The assigned slideshow becomes active on the TV
Synchronization timing may vary depending on connectivity and caching behavior.
Offline Players #
Offline players may not update immediately.
If a player temporarily loses internet connectivity:
- Previously cached content may continue playing
- The new slideshow assignment may appear later
- Synchronization resumes automatically once connectivity returns

Giving slideshows clear names such as “Lobby TV” or “Restaurant Menu” makes player assignment dramatically easier than trying to remember what “final_playlist_REAL_v3” was supposed to control.
