Deleting a Slideshow

Slideshows can be permanently removed from the Slideshows page when they are no longer needed.

Removing unused slideshows helps keep your dashboard organized and easier to manage over time.

Deleting a Slideshow #

To delete a slideshow:

  1. Open the Slideshows section
  2. Select the slideshow you want to remove
  3. Click the delete option
  4. Confirm the deletion

Once deleted, the slideshow is permanently removed from the system.

Important Things to Check First #

Some slideshows may not be deletable while they are still assigned to active players.

Before deleting:

  • Verify player assignments
  • Check whether the slideshow is still active on TVs
  • Confirm the content is no longer needed
  • Preview affected players if necessary

What Happens After Deletion? #

After a slideshow is deleted:

  • The slideshow will no longer appear in the dashboard
  • Assigned players may stop displaying the removed content
  • Players may require reassignment to another slideshow

Connected players will eventually synchronize the updated configuration automatically.

  • Remove outdated seasonal slideshows
  • Delete unused test playlists
  • Use clear slideshow names for easier management
  • Verify player assignments regularly

Before deleting a slideshow, make sure it is not still running on a reception TV somewhere quietly advertising your 2024 Christmas dinner special in July.
