A slideshow is a playlist that contains multiple slides and controls how content is displayed on TVs.
Slideshows are one of the central parts of the WelcomeTV platform and allow you to organize content for different areas of your property.
What a Slideshow Controls #
Slideshows determine:
- Which slides are shown
- The playback order
- How long each slide remains visible
- Background music settings
Once assigned to a player, the slideshow is displayed automatically on the connected TV.

How Slideshows Work #
The typical workflow is simple:
- Create slides
- Add slides to a slideshow
- Configure playback order and durations
- Assign the slideshow to players
- Players automatically display the content
Multiple players can use the same slideshow if you want identical content across several TVs.
Slideshow Limits #
Customers can create their own slideshows directly from the dashboard.
The amount of slideshows is linked to the amount of assigned players.
Example:
- 5 assigned players = maximum 5 slideshows
- 10 assigned players = maximum 10 slideshows
This helps keep account structures manageable and prevents excessive unused slideshow creation.
A slideshow may not be deletable while it is still assigned to an active player.
